“a non-stop, jaw-dropping show of awe inspiring feats of strength, dexterity and agility”

The Underbelly Festival in the shape of the enormous upside down purple cow has landed on the Southbank to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a jam packed programme running through to September. Markus Pabst and Maximilian Rambaek are also celebrating the 10th birthday of SOAP which has arrived to take residence with one great big splash.

Who knew there were so many things you could do with a bathtub? Or the variety of bathroom noises that could be created on stage! This is seventy minutes jam packed with daring acrobatics, trapeze, juggling, opera, comedy, water, soap and much, much more. The audience is left on the edge of their seats with a non-stop, jaw-dropping show of awe inspiring feats of strength, dexterity and agility. The performance flows seamlessly from act to act keeping you wanting more.

Moritz Haase and Marie-AndrΓ©e Lemaire manage to hoodwink the spectators before performing a breathtaking display on the trapeze. Daniel Leo Stern wowed the crowd with his incredible skill on the aerial straps. The spectators were left gasping for breath as he soared and spun above the crowd, sitting perplexed as an illusion involving a bathtub tricked us all and hilarity filled the air. A dance involving mops was the culmination of a truly a fantastic performance which had the entire audience thirsty for more and applauding in admiration.

Experiencing SOAP means bath time will never be the same again! A quick word of warning – if you choose to sit in the front row beware – a waterproof jacket would be advisable!
