
WEST END BAKE OFF, IN AID OF ACTING FOR OTHERS, ANNOUNCES DAME BARBARA WINDSOR TO RETURN AS A JUDGE WITH CHOREOGRAPHER ARLENE PHILLIPS AND OLIVIER AWARD WINNING ACTRESS JANIE DEE
Today, West End Bake Off, in aid of theatrical charity Acting for Others, announces Dame Barbara Windsor will return to the judging panel for a third year alongside first time Bake Off judges Arlene Phillips and Janie Dee. The third annual West End Bake Off will take place at The Actor’s Church St Pauls on Saturday 20 May.
This year’s participants from hit West End Shows include, School of Rock, The Girls, The Play That Goes Wrong, The Comedy About A Bank Robbery, Aladdin, Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia, The Book of Mormon, The Girls, Les Mieserables, Kinky Boots and Half a Sixpence with further participants to be announced shortly. Last year, 20 West End shows baked for Acting for Others and more than £6000 was raised.
The event is free for members of the public to attend, with a suggested entry donation of £1. Judging will begin at 10.30am, and the winners announced at 11am, when Bake Off will be declared open for the public to buy cakes, show memorabilia and mingle with cast and crew from the shows.
West End Bake Off is being held in aid of Acting for Others, an umbrella organisation that represents 15 UK theatrical charities and uses the funds it raises to offer emotional and financial support to members of the entertainment industry who have fallen on hard times through illness, injury or circumstance.

Theatrical charity, Acting For Others, today announces the brand new location for the third annual West End Bake Off. Many West End shows come together to compete in the most anticipated theatrical baking competition of the year. The fundraiser will now take place at The Actor’s Church St Pauls, on Saturday 20 May with judges to be announced at a later date.

Last year, there were wafers from Wicked, macaroons from Mamma Mia and carrot cake from The Comedy About A Bank Robbery and many more cake creations judged by Dame Barbara Windsor, Christopher Biggins and Michael Ball who crowned The Secret Garden as the winners. The event is free for members of the public to attend, with judging beginning at 10.30, and the winners will be announced at 11am, when the Bake Off will be declared open for the public to buy cakes, signed posters and mingle with cast and crew from the shows.
In 2016, over £6,000 was raised and over 20 West End theatres took part.

West End Bake Off is being held in aid of Acting for Others, a fundraising organisation for 15 UK theatrical and welfare charities.
